The Foundation commissioned this white paper examining the potential role of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) for teens in social media platforms. Boston Children’s Hospital’s Digital Wellness Lab and Education Development Center (EDC) conducted a qualitative study with subject matter experts, technology leaders, educators, and students to investigate the possible avenues for a public health approach that would integrate SEL into existing or new social media outlets.
