As part of our mission to promote disability inclusion in entertainment, the Ruderman Family Foundation was the premier partner of inclusion in Variety’s 2019 Inclusion Summit, held in Hollywood. “The summit is an ideal forum for an overdue elevated conversation about the authentic casting of people with disabilities in the entertainment industry,” says Ruderman Foundation president Jay Ruderman.
In a keynote conversation, presented by Jay Ruderman, actor-producer Marlee Matlin and Variety’s editor Tim Gray (all pictured in the photo above), discussed strategies to support the disability community in Hollywood.
During the summit, Jay Ruderman and actress Viola Davis (pictured in the photo above) discussed disability inclusion in Hollywood. “By working together”, said Jay, “we will see more authentic representation in entertainment.”
