Feminism, American Style

Feminism, American Style

On Monday, January 15, 2018, we held a special event to launch a study by Professor Pamela Nadell, a scholar of American Jewish history and gender, and the President of the Association for Jewish Studies. Her study, “Feminism, American Style: Jewish Women and the Making of a Revolution”, published as the third research paper of the Ruderman Program for American Jewish Studies, tells the story of American Jewish women and their contribution to the feminist movement in the United States and Israel. More than 100 scholars and volunteer leaders in the fields of philanthropy, gender equality and the advancement of women and girls in Israel took part in the event, which was held in cooperation with Elka: JDC Institute for Leadership and Governance, and the Ruderman Program at the University of Haifa.
