In May 2016, a celebration of “100 Years of the American Jewish Contribution” took place at the Knesset in Jerusalem. An exhibition created especially for the event was visited by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein and opposition leader Isaac Herzog. In addition, several Knesset committees discussed the subject, including the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, the Education Committee and the Committee for Immigration, Absorption and Diaspora Affairs.
