On March 3, 2020 in Los Angeles, we’ll award filmmakers the Farrelly Brothers with the Morton E. Ruderman Award for their commitment to casting actors with disabilities in their movies.
Peter and Bobby Farrelly are known for making comedy classics like Dumb & Dumber, There’s Something About Mary, Fever Pitch, Shallow Hal, and many more. You can learn more about their work and the award in this press release in the Hollywood Reporter.
Named after the founder of the Ruderman Family Foundation, the Morton E. Ruderman Award is given to those who have made strides in disability inclusion within their communities. Past awardees include Michael Stein, Ari Ne’eman, Tom Harkin, Marlee Matlin, and Michael Phelps.
