Mental Health Hotlines and Resources for Cultural Groups

  • Black Mental Health Alliance: Call (410) 338-2642
    • Provides information and resources and a “Find a Therapist” locator to connect with a culturally competent mental health professional.
  • Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation: Call 988 or 213-222-6327
    • BLHF launched a COVID-19 Free Virtual Therapy Support Campaign to raise money for MH services provided by licensed clinicians in its network. Individuals with life-changing stressors and anxiety related to COVID will have the cost for up to 5 individual sessions defrayed on a first come, first serve basis until all funds are committed or exhausted.
  • Institute for Social Policy and Understanding: Call (313) 436-0523
    • Provides educational mental health resources to Muslim American communities to assist with issues involving youth mental health, dealing with bias and bigotry, and links to other Muslim wellness resources.
  • Jewish Mental Health Resources:
    • A compiled list of mental health resources for the Jewish community.
  • National Asian American Pacific Islander Mental Health Association:
    • Website maintains a list of mental health and behavioral service providers for Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders in all 50 states.

  • StrongHearts Native Helpline: Call 1-844-762-8483
    • The StrongHearts Native Helpline is a confidential and anonymous culturally-appropriate domestic violence and dating violence helpline for Native Americans, available every day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. CT.
