Galia is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience initiating, developing and running social impact programs with NGO’s and philanthropic foundations. She specializes in building effective models and developing programs to encourage and enable higher education and employment for underprivileged and marginalized populations. Galia has extensive experience in strategic philanthropy. She has led teams and developed partnerships including cross sector partnerships, implemented innovative projects and applied effective assessment and evaluation processes.
Prior to joining the Ruderman Family Foundation, Galia worked as program officer for the Rothschild Caesarea Foundation where she oversaw the development and implementation of social impact programs. Galia was an integral part of the founding team of the Forum of Deans and was responsible for the creation of the Forum of Program Managers of Social Organization as well as other successful programs and initiatives. Previously Galia worked at The Israel Women’s Network, where she created and ran a national employment program for at-risk youth under the auspices of the Israel Ministry of Welfare.
Galia has a Master’s Degree in Labor Studies from Tel Aviv University where she graduated with honors. She also has a B.A. in Communications from the College of Management and completed a two year program in Group Facilitation and Dynamics at Bar Ilan University. Galia lives in Israel with her husband and four children.
