Marisa Parker served as a member of FEMA Corps, a division of the AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (AmeriCorps NCCC) national service program. Serving with a team of 9 FEMA Corps members while working with FEMA staff on various projects in communities affected by natural disasters throughout the United States-Vicksburg, Mississippi; Des Moines, Iowa; Council Bluffs, Iowa, Oakland, California, and Caguas, Puerto Rico. Prior to her work with FEMA, Marisa interned with O’Neill and Associates in Boston with a focus on marketing and public relations. Marisa holds a Bachelor degree from Bridgewater State University in Political Science, and has written and presented research on Distributive Justice Norms and the Success/Failure of Healthcare Reform in America.
